LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The Perry Commodores pulled away in dominant fashion Friday night, defeating Cory-Rawson 57–14 in Northwest Central Conference play.
Perry struck first in the opening quarter when Wyatt Taviano powered his way into the end zone for a 6–0 lead after a blocked extra point. Cory-Rawson answered immediately, as Logan Inbody muscled across the goal line to give the Fighting Hornets a brief 7–6 advantage.
The Commodores’ defense stepped up late in the first quarter. With Cory-Rawson threatening inside the 10, Hudson Gamber broke through on fourth down to make a stop in the backfield and halt the drive.
From there, Perry’s offense took control, piling up points to seal a decisive 57–14 victory.
