St. Henry — St. Henry advanced to the Division VII Final Four after a 24-7 win over Marion Local in the regional final, ending Marion Local’s OHSAA-record 76-game winning streak and the nation’s longest active streak.
Senior quarterback Charlie Werling accounted for four touchdowns in the victory, helping the Redskins reach the program’s 12th Final Four and their first trip since 2006, the year St. Henry won the state title.
Head coach Josh Werling said the team put last week’s historic win behind them quickly to focus on the challenge ahead as they prepare to face Columbus Grove in the state semifinals.
