DELPHOS (WLIO) — Undefeated St. Henry continued its strong run through the Midwest Athletic Conference, picking up a road win at St. John’s to remain unbeaten.
The Redskins got going early in transition, with Molly Wendel gathering a pass on the move and finishing at the rim. Olivia Gast followed with a clean mid-range jumper, squaring up and knocking it down to keep St. Henry in rhythm.
St. John’s answered in the second quarter. Lilly Klaus dished to Aubrey Fairchild, who connected from beyond the arc, and Klaus later added a long ball of her own as the Blue Jays looked to keep pace.
St. Henry responded behind strong drives to the basket, including Morgan Baumer attacking through the defense and getting the friendly bounce to fall. As the first half wound down, Karlee Buscher checked the clock and calmly beat the buzzer to give the Redskins momentum heading into the break.
St. Henry pulled away from there, closing out the win and improving to 15-0 on the season.
