The weather looks incredibly nice for the next couple of days! Highs will push near 70° with plenty of sunshine and light south winds. These highs are roughly 20° above normal.
Changes will roll in just in time for the weekend. The next system has slowed down, meaning the bulk of the rain holds off until later Friday afternoon. A few thunderstorms could occur Friday evening. A marginal severe risk is in place to our south, but reaches into Shelby and Logan counties for now. The showers become light by Saturday, but overall it looks like a raw first half of the weekend. There is even a slight chance for a few snowflakes to mix in by Saturday evening as temperatures aloft get colder.
Dry and mild weather returns Sunday and Monday. Shower chances return Tuesday of next week along with somewhat cooler air.
