WAPAKONETA, Ohio (WLIO) — Each Thursday morning this summer, the Wapakoneta library has welcomed families for outdoor storytime at the gazebo.
Thursday’s event had a special twist, as children learned some dance moves with help from Kelly Hawk of The Dance Centre, who led them through simple routines between storybook pages. It’s one of the final programs for the library’s Summer Reading Challenge, which officially wraps up next week.

“We were very happy with our turnout. We have six locations in our system, we've been keeping tabs on all of our numbers, everyone's been having good turnouts. It was really fun, we're grateful for another good summer reading program,” said Stephanie Lietz, youth services assistant for the Auglaize County Libraries.
The Summer Reading Program officially ends Monday, July 14. Families have until then to log their reading and enter tickets for the prize drawings. Winners will be announced shortly after.
