This is the weekend for Lima residents to start some major spring cleaning.
On Saturday, May 6th from 9 a.m. until noon, dumpsters will be available for use in four different locations in the city. You can drop off most anything except appliances, large furniture, chemical wastes including oil, paint or chemical products or car batteries. If you have brush or yard waste, you can take it to the city's composting area behind the city garage on South Colette Street. You must bring proof of residency to dump items.
"A resident needs to show that they live within the city, so they need to bring either an I.D. like a driver's license, or a utility bill," commented Lima Neighborhood Specialist, Autumn Swanson.
This Saturday, dumpster sites are located at LACNIP Resource Center, the Literacy Council, Forrest Park United Methodist Church, and St. Mark's United Methodist Church.
Swanson says residents can hit one or all the sites over the next three weekends.
