With the new year comes re-organizational meetings for many boards and associations. Today the Board of Allen County Commissioners electing new officers.
Commissioner Cory Noonan is the board president for 2017 and Commissioner Greg Sneary is vice president. Noonan says the re-organization is simply ceremonial as all three commissioners have equal authority and communicate well as a board. They plan to move the county forward to become more efficient, not only operationally but structurally as well.
The 2017 general fund budget is scheduled to be approved at the commissioners' regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday morning. Noonan says they will be working on the capital budget in the next few weeks.
