Time is almost out to pay out the second half of this year's property taxes.
Friday, July 12 is the due date to pay property taxes for business owners as well as those who own private property. Failure to pay them on time or at all could mean a blow to your bank account.

"If they do not get it in by 4:30, they could be penalized with a 10 percent penalty on their taxes," said Allen County Treasurer Evalyn Shaffner. "The longer they don't take care of it, there then could be interest added to that and each half, as it accumulates, you'll have interest and penalty.
You can pay your property taxes as the treasurer's office or online until 4:30 Friday afternoon. You can also mail it out by that point or stop by a Superior or Union Bank to take care of the payment.
