LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) -Â It was a busy afternoon for local law enforcement after an inmate escaped from the Allen County Jail.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office said just before 5 p.m., 21-year-old Zeeke Blayne Clarke smashed out a window in an interview room with a chair. He jumped out the window and ran off.
Clarke wasn’t gone long. Allen County sheriff’s deputies, with help from the Lima Police Department, caught him about a half hour later at a house in the 600 block of North Elizabeth Street. He was still wearing his striped jail pants. Clarke was booked back into the Allen County Jail on an escape charge. He had just been arrested the night before on a misdemeanor drug charge. His escape remains under investigation.
