January 20, 2025, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 1-19-2025 officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of S. Bredeick St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrived and met with a male and female at the residence. Both stated that they were having a verbal altercation, but no physical violence had occurred.
On 1-19-2025 officers were sent to the 400 block of S. Canal St, where a female reported that her boyfriend was at her residence, and she wanted him to leave. Officers stood by while the male gathered his belongings and left. Officers were called back a short time later on 1-20-2025 as the male had returned. The male, after retrieving another item, was warned not to return.
On 1-20-2025 a male called to report that his vehicle was struck by a semi tractor trailer making a right turn from N. Main St, onto E. 5th St. The caller stated that the truck continued on and headed eastbound on US 30. Due to the male not having his phone in the car the incident was not immediately reported.
On 1-20-2025 a male came to the police department to file a report. The male reported that another individual was posting untruthful comments of social media.
On 1-21-2025 a female called the police department requesting that officers perform a well being check on her daughter whom she had not been able to make contact with.
On 1-21-2025 officers were asked to check a residence in the 600 block of N. Main St, where it was believed that dogs were left inside of a residence that appeared to be vacant.
On 1-22-2025 officers were sent to the 200 block of N. Franklin St, to investigate a two-vehicle crash. Neither party was issued a citation due to conflicting statements as to how the crash occurred and lack of evidence to prove otherwise.
On 1-22-2025 officers responded to a business in the 200 block of E. 2nd St, to investigate an alarm activation.
On 1-23-2025 officers were sent to the 700 block of Harmon St, for an abandoned 911 call.
On 1-23-2025 officers were sent to the 500 block of S. Washington St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with a female. She stated that her adult son was arguing with her and refused to leave her residence when he was asked to do so.
On 1-24-2025 officers were asked to assist the US Marshall’s in attempting to apprehend a subject, wanted on a felony warrant out of Indiana, in the 400 block of N. Washington St.
On 1-24-2025 officers met with a female in the 200 block of Scott St, who reported that her juvenile daughter left the residence with an unknown male. A short time later the identity of the male was discovered and the two returned to the residence.
On 1-25-2025 officers were sent to a business in the 1600 block of E. 5th St, to investigate an alarm activation.
On 1-25-2025 officers were dispatched to investigate a panic alarm activation in the 1800 block of E. 5th St.
On 1-25-2025 officers responded to the 400 block of E. 8th St, for a possible Domestic Disturbance. Officers spoke with a male and a female at the residence. Each person denied any physical violence occurred, however during the altercation a vehicle was damaged.
