LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — A longtime Downtown Lima Inc. fundraiser is getting a new place on the calendar as the popular Lima Lantern Tours become part of the organization's Third Thursdays events.
Traditionally held in the fall, the Lantern Tours will now take place during the monthly downtown celebration, allowing attendees to experience the tours without competing with other October events.
The first tour is scheduled for Thursday, July 16, with local historian Bob Cook serving as the tour guide. Cook will share stories about the people whose lives and contributions helped shape Lima into the community it is today.
Downtown Lima Inc. Executive Director Cricket Rodriguez said the organization moved the Lantern Tours to the Third Thursdays schedule because they often overlapped with other events in October. The new format gives residents and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the Lantern Tours while still attending other seasonal activities.
Advance tickets are $25, while any remaining tickets will be available the day of the event for $35.
