Lima Symphony Orchestra Storytime: Music and Books are Engaging Young Minds

A string quartet visited the Auglaize County Library in Wapakoneta to help bring two books to life through music from composers such as Beethoven and Brahms.

LIMA, Ohio – This June, join the Lima Symphony for an enchanting Fairytale-themed “Symphony Storytime” through magical forests, fairy gardens, and even dragon lands! Featuring live music selections like Dvorak’s Silent Woods and Humoresque, Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, and Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No. 5, children will experience a delightful blend of literature and music.

Children will walk through magical forests with books like Woodland Dance! by Sandra Boynton, help a lonely cellist find his musical friends in this special story, and discover that dragons aren't so scary after all with Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin.
