ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) – Perfect weather set the stage for a luau at Kessler Estates as the senior living facility celebrated the end of summer.
Residents, along with clients from the Allen County Board of Developmental Disabilities, enjoyed singing, dancing, and a refreshing slushie topped with a small umbrella. The event offered an opportunity to come together, have fun, and stay active.
“We still have something to offer—our family, friends and our community. You know, you can smile, you can put your hands together and clap. You can toss a ball. You can sing a song, just encourage your friends, get together and still continue to live,” said Trois Parker, community connection specialist at Kessler Estates.
This was the second luau hosted by Kessler Estates in partnership with the Board of Developmental Disabilities, and participants are already looking forward to the next event.
