Every 66 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. It cannot be cured, prevented, or even slowed, but the Alzheimer's Association is determined to end it.
Wednesday afternoon, West Central Ohio's Alzheimer's Association hosted an open house kick off to get the community excited for the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer's. The walk previously named "Lima Walk", serves sponsors, teams, and walkers in Allen, Auglaize, Hardin, Putnam, and Van Wert Counties.
The walk is slated for Saturday, September 9th on the OSU Lima campus. Team and participant registration is already open and donations are being accepted. To donate or register visit alz.org/walk.
