Whether it was by land or sea, many arrived in Celina for the annual Bar Stool Open.
Saturday (8/11/18) marked the 18th annual mini-golf tournament that saw competitors bounce from bar to bar along Grand Lake St. Marys while playing a round of mini golf. The tournament is hosted by the Lake Improvement Association. Vice President Brian Morris said there were nearly 200 teams of four this year and that could be a record number. The proceeds from the tournament go to the association to make improvements to the lake, and Morris added toxin levels are down this year.
"We also have the pontoon decorating contest," says L.I.A. Vice President Brian Morris. "I saw a pirate ship earlier, which is really neat, and some other really cool decorated boats, and we have a t-shirt contest so groups get together and coordinator their shirts and they're pretty funny usually."
Prizes are to be awarded at the prize party at the Eagles on Sunday, August 12, 2018, at 2 pm.
