Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer in women in the United States next to skin cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death of women just behind lung cancer. The American Cancer Society also states that the chance of a woman having invasive breast cancer some time during her life is about 1 in 8 and the chance of dying from breast cancer is about 1 in 37. The local American Cancer Society works hard to educate people on the importance of supporting the society and the work they do on a daily basis in our community.

This Thursday (7/28/16), a new campaign will kickoff to raise money for the American Cancer Society called "Real Men Wear Pink". Twelve men from around the community will be introduced who have committed to wear pink everyday in October. Their fundraising will begin August 1st and run through October 31st.
