OHIO (WLIO) - Ohio flu rates remain very high according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Ohio is joined by Michigan, Arkansas, and New Mexico in the very high category for flu activity for the last reporting period the week ending February 24th. The Ohio Department of Health says there were 726 flu-related hospitalizations. That is 15% higher than the week before and is higher than the 5-year average for flu-related hospitalizations. 8% of outpatient visits were because of flu-like symptoms according to the Department of Health. Health experts say it is still not too late to get your flu vaccine.
