Peterson Construction out of Wapakoneta is finishing up the more than 20,000 square foot building. The State of Ohio funded 3.4 million of the 6.9 million needed for the project, with the rest of the funds coming from the county. Peterson Construction broke ground last May and the crew has been working tirelessly to ensure a timely completion.

"We're thankful to the Allen County commissioners for investing in this project and investing in the future of our ability to work with delinquent children in Allen County and better enable us to meet our mission of returning them to the community as productive and contributing citizens," said Berlin Carroll, court administrator of Allen County Probate and Juvenile Court.

The projected opening date for the new facility is set for July 15, 2019.
