0252 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City Fire to a location on Main Street in the Village of Ohio City for a Carbon Monoxide Detector Alarm.

0710 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Collins Avenue in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen.

0738 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Hoaglin Township to check the report of a male subject setting along the roadway.

0801 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Bockey Road in Jackson Township for a report of a semi-truck blocking the roadway.

0810 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 49 in Willshire Township for a complaint of a stray dog.

0904 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Simpson Street in the Village of Willshire on a complaint of trespassing.

1243 hrs. – Deputies responded to area of Liberty Union Road in Union Township to check the welfare of a subject walking along the roadway.

1311 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Pollock Road in Union Township on a complaint of two loose dogs.

1333 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Lincoln Highway for an active medical alarm.

1401 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Ridge Township for a complaint of reckless driving.

1619 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Shawnee Drive in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen.

1632 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on South Street in the Village of Willshire for a complaint of criminal damaging.

1645 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a complaint of reckless driving.

1943 hrs. -Deputies responded to a residence on Williams Street in the Village of Willshire to check an open line 911 call.

1946 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 224 in Pleasant Township to check the report of an occupied disabled vehicle.

2046 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of South Street in the Village of Middle Point for a complaint of a stray dog that attacked their dog.

2146 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area in the Village of Middle Point on a complaint of all terrain vehicles running the streets.

2238 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Lincoln Highway in Ridge Township for a complaint of reckless driving.

0912 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Giffin Road in Hoaglin Township for a subject not feeling well.

1204 hrs. – Deputies along with Ohio City Fire and EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the area of U.S. Route 224 at Liberty Union Road in Pleasant Township. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

1355 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS and Delphos EMS to a residence on Dog Creek Road in Washington Township for a subject who was ill.

1415 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Van Wert Willshire Road in Pleasant Township for a subject who had fallen.

1559 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Wren Landeck Road in Liberty Township for a Sylvan Eliminator boat that was left upside down along the roadway.

1825 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township to check an occupied disabled vehicle.

1838 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Main Street in the City of Van Wert to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1928 hrs. – Deputies responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 224 in Jackson Township. The incident was investigated the by Ohio State Highway Patrol.

2115 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a location on U.S. Route 30 in Washington Township for a subject having a reaction to medication.

2203 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Carmean Street in the Village of Ohio City for a subject having difficulty breathing.

2206 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Washington Township for a report of two vehicles in the area with occupants standing around the roadway.

2208 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Bebb Street in the Village of Venedocia for a subject having difficulty breathing.

2253 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Pollock Road in Tully Township for a report of a domestic dispute.

2307 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Main Street in the Village of Convoy on a complaint of Aggravated Menacing and Criminal Damaging. Alec Lynn Thomas age 40 of Convoy was arrested on the above charges and was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

0102 hrs. – Deputies picked up a stray dog in an area of Sycamore Street in the City of Van Wert.

0207 hrs. – Dispatched Spencerville EMS to a residence on State Route 116 in Jennings Township for a subject who had fallen.

0323 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Converse Roselm Road in Jennings Township for a report of an injured dog along the roadway.

0353 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location in the Village of Willshire to assist the Decatur Police in checking a location for a missing person.

0523 hrs. – Deputies from Mercer County, Van Wert County, Rockford Fire, Ohio City Fire, Mendon Fire, and CERT responded to a report of a residential structure fire on the Van Wert Mercer County Line Road in Liberty Township. Photos Courtesy of Bob Barnes.

0933 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Simpson Street in the Village of Willshire to check a location for a missing person.

1008 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a complaint of reckless driving.

1021 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a residence on Madison Boulevard in the City of Van Wert for a subject who had fallen.

1409 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Jones Hughes Road in York Township for a subject who had fallen.

1603 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

1647 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Lincoln Highway in Ridge Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

1818 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Old Tile Factory Road in Pleasant Township to assist with a juvenile that was being unruly.

2023 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Slane Road in Hoaglin Township on a complaint of a missing dog.

2127 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Pleasant Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Unit One, a 2022 Silver Toyota Celica, driven by Preston Phillips of Pleasant Township was eastbound on U.S. 30 in lane two near U.S. Route 224. Unit One attempted to merge from Lane two to take the U.S. 224 exit and sideswiped Unit Two, a 2016 Red Ram 3500 towing an enclosed trailer driven by Gregory Miller of Lancaster Ohio, traveling on eastbound on U.S. Route 30 near U.S. 224 in Lane One, causing minor damage to the driver's side of Unit One and trailer. Unit 2 also sustained minor damage to the passenger side. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. Both units were driven from the scene.
