Elida's New Town Hall

December 18th marked new beginnings for the Village of Elida as they opened the doors of the new town hall.

After a year and a half of planning and 9 months of construction, Village Administrator Dave Metzger says everyone is so proud to be here. The building replaces a 130 year old building on the west side of the village. Now, all village employees will be working under one roof.

"Every function of the village is run through here.. As council and everybody else. That was part of our planning for the project. We would like to be here another 150 years from now," says Metzger.

Metzger says the building still smells new, and that building employees already have plans in place on how to keep the building looking as clean and new for as long as possible. Â
