Tax season is here, and there are a lot of questions as residents file the necessary paperwork.
This year, parents are looking towards child tax credit that they can include in their filings in order to find out if they have any unclaimed credit that they are still owed. While the filing deadline is still months away, it is highly recommended that you file your taxes electronically, as the IRS is expecting to face a high volume of filings.
"It's advisable that you file your tax returns electronically," said Ibi Ojo, Fortune Accounting president. "The IRS has a backlog of tax returns that are waiting to be processed so you make sure that those are electronically filed and if you are getting a refund, you definitely want the direct deposit for a faster refund."
