A two-alarm fire damaged a Lima gas station Thursday morning.
The Lima Fire Department says they were called out to the Circle K gas station on N. West Street just before 5 a.m. on Thursday. A person noticed smoke coming from the roof of the business. There was a clerk inside who wasn't aware anything was wrong. The fire was contained in the attic and the cause is being investigated. The fire department estimates there were $50,000 in damage to the business and another $100,000 of loss in contents. The gas station is currently closed.
American Township was called in to help and two firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion at the scene.
