LIMA, OH (WLIO) - You may not notice them right away but their charm warms up the downtown area.
Beautiful flower baskets line several of the streets in downtown Lima thanks to the generosity of many Lima businesses and organizations. Downtown Lima Inc. took time to thank their platinum sponsors at this week's chamber briefing. Nutrien Lima and the Lima Young Professionals donated more than 2,500 dollars each to sponsor the flowering baskets.
"It makes a difference, it really does," said Betsy Billingsley, executive director of Downtown Lima Inc. "And so the more that you can make it feel a little cozier, a little warmer, more like home, it makes our downtown more like home."
Downtown Lima Inc. is now looking for sponsors for the Christmas decorations that will warm up downtown for the holidays.
