VAN WERT, OH (WLIO) - Lincolnview 4th graders shared what they learned about some influential people, places, and events that helped shape the world's history.

Around 55 students took part in their wax museum projects. The students gave a short presentation to visitors and other students on historical, entertainment, or sports figures that they had been researching. This year, the students could pick locations to research, like the Colosseum, the Titanic, and Area 51.

As part of the project, the students had to write a five-paragraph essay, create a visual display, and dress up like their person or a person from their location or event. So, we found out what the students learned.

"What is one thing that you kind of learned about Annie Oakley?" asked the reporter. 

"Though people like mostly see celebrities as people who are nice, she actually was. She didn't do drugs, she didn't curse, she didn't do that stuff. She was overall just a very clean person with a very good image," says Edie Priest, learned about Annie Oakley.

"What did you find out Orville and Wilber?" asked the reporter.

"I found that they invented the airplane together. And they really worked together really well with their strengths. Such as, Wilber comes up with the ideas, and then I, Orville, build his ideas," says Hunter Burley, learned about Orville Wright.

"What did you find out about Michael Jackson?" asked the reporter.

"Well he has his thriller album that he made in 1983. And it is still the best-selling album in the world. And he has a lot of signature moves, like the moonwalk and the lean," says Wyndsor Stegaman, learned about Michael Jackson.

This is the 7th year that the 4th grade class has done their wax museum project.
