James Lee is back serving time in Ohio after escaping from Allen Correctional

LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The escaped Allen Correctional inmate is back in an Ohio prison to serve time he is facing in both the Buckeye State and Kentucky.

James Lee is back serving time in Ohio after escaping from Allen Correctional

47-year-old James Lee is currently in the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility to serve the 18 years he has remaining on his 2021 sentence for burglary, breaking and entering, and safecracking in Ohio and the 8 years he got for the three charges from Kentucky from his capture in Henderson in May.

He and Bradley Gillespie escaped the Lima prison by leaving through the trash. Lee was captured after they crashed a stolen car during a chase in Henderson. Gillespie ran following the crash and drowned while on the run from law enforcement.
