LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima Central Catholic takes time to recognize some alumni that represent the best of their school.
The Education Foundation held their annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony Saturday afternoon. ONU professor Sarah (Smith) Waters of the class of 1983 was inducted for professional achievement; Lima Councilman Dr. Derry Glenn of the class of 1982 for community service; former LCC and Lehigh University wrestler Tristan Boyd of the class of 1999 for athletic achievement; and the late Jeffrey Hawk for his service to his alma mater Lima Central Catholic and the local Catholic education systems. They join the over 150 other alumni that have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since it started over three decades ago.
“We are so fortunate to have such great alumni at LCC, and every year we want to honor those who have done such spectacular things for our community and beyond our community, and this afternoon we are able to do this with four fantastic people,” says Fr. David Ross, LCC’s Director of Community Engagement.
Also part of the ceremony, around 45 other people were inducted into the Diamond Thunderbird Circle; their contributions will help LCC for years to come.
