LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Lima Exchange Club continues their efforts to help children in Lima Allen County.
Ten area programs that provide assistance to area children get a boost with a donation from the Exchange Club. The assistance provided by these agencies ranges from mentoring to positive life choices and sports to a new pair of shoes. Donations like this help to continue their mission with the children.
"In just in school supplies in general like everything it's up in price. It hits the DARE program as well. Donations like this really help us to succeed and continue our program," said Ted Falke, Allen County DARE program.
"It's to help us serve the kids in our community better," said Yvonne Jones, site director of City Life at Rally Point. "So with the donation today it helps us to provide gas to drive our vans to go pick the kids up and bring them back and forth to the center in a safe environment. It means a lot to us."
All of the recipients say they are thankful for the support of the Lima Exchange Club. $6,200 was distributed by the Lima Exchange Club.
