UAW president Shawn Fain announced that walkouts are currently planned to take place at 38 General Motors and Stellantis plants. Ford will not see strikes at their plants due to the company meeting union demands over the past week when it comes to cost of living, job security, and profit sharing. Members of the UAW 1219 say that they are encouraged about the progress made with Ford.

"Sounds like things are progressing at Ford, so that is a good thing. Still don't sound good for our Stelantis and GM brothers and sisters, but hopefully, they come around. It's good for us that Ford is progressing well. We stand ready, I have an updated strike schedule. So we know if we are called we will be prepared," stated Jeff Adams, UAW Local 1219 president.

Noon was today's deadline for positive negotiations to take place with all three companies before more strikes hit new locations.
