LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It was a room full of smiles as the Lima Public Library continued their summer youth activities.
Kids' faces lit up as they were learning about fireflies. Not only did they hear stories about the beetle, they learned facts in a true and false game and they even got to make their own firefly lantern to take home. Both the kids and parents enjoy coming to the library for different reasons.
"We like coming to story time because I like books and it's just so fun that we can come here," said Bennett Wright, age 5.
"Why I like going to libraries is because I love reading and reading makes you smarter and that's why I like reading," said Adyson Messieha, age 6.
"She likes to come and hear the stories and I like for her to learn to sit down and listen to the story. We're working on that right now. She likes to be right up in the book so we're working on sitting down and listening," said Heather Wireman, who brings her daughter to the library.
The youth services department is located on the second floor of the Lima Public Library and has plenty of resources to keep your kids busy throughout the summer and beyond.
