LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Before the ball drops on New Year’s Eve, the Lima Symphony Orchestra will be getting the party started with their annual Pops concert. This year they will be joined on stage with Jeans n’ Classics for "Never Break the Chain, The Music of Fleetwood Mac." The concert will feature such hits as “Little Lies,” “Dreams,” and “Don't Stop.” While the crowd will have a great time singing along, the symphony musicians are enjoying playing some of the iconic music that they grew up with.
“The music is challenging,” says executive director Elizabeth Brown-Ellis. “People don’t necessarily realize that, but is not easy for them by any means. This is music the music they grew up with. So, it’s music that is very familiar, not just because this is part of their classical training, but his is actually part of their life. It is very fun for them to play something different and I think have a little more fun on the stage.”
