The Christmas tree was brought to life once again this year by the Spencerville Area Community Choir. They held their second annual 'Living Christmas Tree' performance this afternoon, with this years theme being 'It's the most wonderful time of the year'.
The Christmas tree was illuminated by the Spencerville Choir, which is made up of members of churches from all around the area. They members range in age from middle-school children to their oldest member being ninety-one. In between songs, they told the story of Christmas.
"We're looking forward to making it a tradition here, so that people can have something to kind of rally around from year to year. And just it brings all the churches closer together in other ways too. When people get to know each other and become friends with each other, it just kind of helps, as I and other pastors in the community," Pastor Tom Shobe, from Spencerville Nazarene Church said.
They will have another show Monday December, 21 in the Spencerville Schools Auditorium at 7pm. Tickets are $3 and can be purchased at the door.
