Reggae Fest kicked off the 2024 summer music series with The Ark Band, The Flex Crew, Stedic Music, and Ryan Kynd taking the stage Friday night. The festival focused on the reggae music genre with embedded styles of soca, calypso, R&B, hip hop, and blues, along with vendors available for food and shopping. The organizer of the festival, Chris Henderson, says this is the first ever Reggae Fest in the city, and he wants to help bring different styles of music for people to enjoy in Lima.

"Lima is booming right now. There is a lot going on in downtown, and we got this pavilion here. I feel like everybody wants to feel a part of this, so we want to bring different styles of music again and different styles of genres of music. It's just about bringing people together and having a good time. That's what Lima and the world needs right now," says Chris Henderson, organizer of Reggae Fest.

Henderson also adds that additional events in the series are coming up, with a hip-hop show in July and an EDM show in October at the Pangle Pavilion.
