ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - An Allen County murder suspect will be extradited from Rhode Island at the end of May.
Sheriff's officials say 31-year-old Gervens Justilien will return to Allen County on May 30th. He was captured by the Rhode Island United States Marshals Service on March 29th.
Justilien has been charged with murder for the death of 26-year-old Christlande Auguste. She was found dead on March 10th at a home on Makley Drive from strangulation and blunt force trauma.
Both Justilien and Auguste are from Haiti. Investigators say Auguste has been in the United States since October 2022 and was granted a temporary employment authorization card while she waited for an asylum hearing.
Justilien is currently only charged with murder, but additional charges could come at a later date.
