Marchion Williams fires attorney before sentencing, wants to withdraw guilty plea

In a turn of events, Marchion Williams, who was scheduled for sentencing today has decided to fire her court-appointed lawyer.

40-year-old Williams fired her counsel, William Kluge after she said in a letter to him that he "ruined her life". Williams claims Kluge coerced her into taking a plea deal and pleading guilty to one count of murder while four other charges were dropped. Kluge went on the record and withdrew as her representation and she now awaits a new court-appointed attorney. Williams also indicated she plans to file a motion to withdraw her guilty plea.

"I will say that I thought we were all on the same page at the time we entered the plea, apparently not because now Marchion really doesn't want me to represent her at the sentencing and she would like to have the opportunity to file a motion to withdraw her plea," said Kluge.

Williams is accused of stabbing 65-year-old Eddie McClellan to death back in March of this year.
