Employees of the Meadows of Delphos, as well as local businesses, donated supplies to students in need this upcoming school year.
The assisted living facility provided local families with the opportunity to pick up school supplies as well as have a bite to eat with food trucks available at the event. Organizers wanted to give back to the community and help provide some overall relief to families who are in need.
"So we understand the importance of kids having their school supplies, we also understand the importance of just having the opportunity for parents to give them the ease of being able to have some of the school supplies at the beginning of the school year," explained Chelle Sanders, Meadows Delphos director of marketing.
This was the first school supply drive that the facility hosted.
