It's become a tradition in the region that supports families in need by keeping them together.
The Ohio Cycleworx Scrabble Run has supported Family Promise of Lima for 14 years. You can bring the whole family to enjoy anything with wheels. There's a motorcycle run, car show, food, fun, and games. Even a chance to win a new Honda motorcycle. Organizers say it's their way to give back to those needing assistance.
"Yeah, it's really neat that the Family Promise program is really awesome because it helps the homeless people, and the husband and wives and the kids that maybe aren't as fortunate as us and it gives them a chance to rebuild their lives in the church," said Tim Allison, Ohio Cycleworx owner.
The run is Saturday with registration at 9 a.m. and kickstands up at 10 a.m. It's a $20 registration which includes a raffle ticket. The proceeds benefit Family Promise of Lima.
