Local car enthusiasts revved their engines today as the 43rd Annual Rebel Run Classic Car Show kicked off at the Allen County Fairgrounds.

The Rebel Run Car Show features a myriad of automobiles including historical cars with vintage license plates, classic, muscle, and sports cars with even classic trucks.

"I just think it's another unique opportunity to get maybe a different demographic of people to come out here to the fairgrounds. I don't know how many people actually knew about it, but we actually had a car show during our fair this year, and we noticed that brought in a nice traffic of people that maybe wouldn't have come out to the fair if that wasn't going on. So, this event really gives us more exposure at the fairgrounds. It gets the community super involved and it's a fun event to come and enjoy and look at all the cars that they have out here to offer," commented Troy Elwer, promotions & operations manager, Allen County Fairgrounds.
Saturday, September 17th is the final day of the car show. The car show will conclude with judges coming out to the fairgrounds, inspecting the cars, and presenting the winners at the awards banquet
