The Northwest Ohio Literacy Council is still looking for a few good spellers as their annual Scrabble tournament is this weekend and spaces are still available.
The event raises money for the council to help individuals in the region that are struggling with their reading and writing skills. The Literacy Council says there are some people in Lima that are reading below a 3rd to 5th grade level and the council's mission is to provide free assistance to these individuals.
You can still register your team or you can be put with a team for Saturday's tourney. Just sign up online or show up at 10:30 a.m. the day of the tournament which starts at 11 a.m. at the St. Rita's Auxiliary Center.
Your News Now will be on hand with a team. The "Wordsmiths" will be trying to win the media challenge.
