Superior officials say they really outgrew the building shortly after they opened it.
Thursday they broke ground on an expansion project for the building they built in 2008. Superior officials say they really outgrew the building shortly after they opened it, and now they will be adding more office space for the growth of their services like mortgages and investments in Putnam County. Superior has continued its own growth, with 25 locations around west central Ohio and beyond.
The work on the Ottawa expansion will begin soon and is expected to be complete by February 2025.
"When you look at our home being in Lima, we've been out at Wapak, St. Marys, Coldwater, Tiffin. Possibly all over the Northwest Ohio region. But we are also down in Cincinnati now, up in Toledo. So, other credit unions have reached out to us over the years and said, Hey, can we join you? They like what we are doing; they like how we service our members, and we are just glad to pick up on it and help anyone we can," says Phil Buell, president and CEO, of Superior Credit Union.
The work on the Ottawa expansion will begin soon and is expected to be complete by February 2025. Ottawa's Superior Credit Union branch is located 1381 N Perry St, Ottawa, OH 45875.
