Lima detectives are investigating what they're calling a suspicious death at a Lima motel.
The Lima Police Department was called to the Imperial Inn Motel on North Street in Lima around 11:30 Tuesday morning after an employee found a man who was staying there dead in his room. Police say the body of 44 year old Jason Gross has been taken to Lucas County for an autopsy. Officers say they found cause for suspicion because of how the room looked when they entered. Detectives wouldn't elaborate on the condition of the room.
Lieutenant Jim Baker says he believes Gross had been dead for less than two days at the most before his body was discovered. A preliminary autopsy should be completed by Wednesday morning. Anyone with information on the death should call Lima Police at 419-227-4444.
