With just a month left to file your taxes, it may be a good idea to get started to avoid some of the stress on Tax Day.

Nancy Rumschlag with Liberty Tax Service says that before you come  in to get your taxes done, be sure that all of your forms that have come in the mail are in order, so that you're able to answer any questions that your tax preparer may ask.  She says it's a good idea to go back and check for any expenses that you might have forgotten about over the months.

"When you’re going through things, go through your checkbooks, your registers, or your checking account statements; there may be items that you paid for that we’re now 13, 14 months later, so it’s hard to remember something that happened last January, last February, but you might’ve had an expense on," said Rumschlag, the owner of Liberty Tax Service on Allentown Road in Lima.

Tax Day 2018 is Tuesday, April 17th.
