The Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating 135 years of supporting local business.
At their annual breakfast President and CEO Jed Metzger announces that even with the pandemic their membership is up 4%. The chamber’s mission is to serve, enhance business growth and promote success. They support approximately 1,400 businesses in the area and have seen a substantial increase in new businesses.
Jed Metzger of the Lima Allen County Chamber of Commerce explains, “We have seen a lot more growth in entrepreneurship. Every one of our member orientation meetings we have more and more companies that are brand new. I think COVID has encouraged that by people being at home and thinking about what they really want to do in life and what their passion is. Those passions are now becoming reality.”
Metzger says the chamber will continue to adapt to the times and serve their membership with new and informative programming.
