After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the Lima Noon Optimist Club is gearing up for their expo this weekend.
What was the Home Expo will now be known as the Community Expo to reach more people in the region. Organizers say there will be something for everyone at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Displays include home businesses, home improvement, non-profits, and more. There will also be live entertainment all weekend.
Optimist member Cindy Nelson explains, “There really is. Actually, new this year we’ve got some different performances. On Friday night the library is going to be out doing a story time. We’re going to be able to be fingerprinting of the kids and especially this year, on Saturday night at 5 o’clock the Lima Area Youth Orchestra is going to be out there performing. So, bring the family and come out for a great night and just really support these kids.”
This will be the 72nd Community Expo. It runs this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Allen County Fair Grounds. Entry is 2 dollars for anyone 12 years of age and older.
