The trial against a man charged with raping a young girl got underway in Hardin County.
According to the common pleas court, a jury has been sat for the trial of 51-year-old Thomas Todd. Todd is facing one count of rape and nine counts of gross sexual imposition among other charges. Officials say Todd allegedly assaulted a then ten year old girl between July of 2015 and May of 2016. According to police, the victim came forward about the allegations and Todd admitted to the charges during the investigation.
The trial is expected to go on Friday.
