The 2016 support campaign is over for the Wapakoneta YMCA, and they're ecstatic to have set a new funding record.
The Wapak YMCA surpassed this year's goal of $125,000 with a total of $135,548. This year with funds above the goal, the YMCA hopes to help 2,500 families. They credit the new funding record to energized campaign workers and a generous community.
The YMCA receives 10 to 20 applications a month requesting assistance. With assistance, families can participate in many programs and love that, but the thing they love the most is spending family time together at the YMCA.
YMCA officials say they want to thank the community and everyone involved in the 2016 support campaign for their time and dedication to making it a success.
