Students at Lima Central Catholic had an unexpected long weekend.
School was canceled while workers tried to find a water main break. The problem was found night when a teacher noticed water pooling in the parking lot. Water running to the school had to be shut off, and no water meant no school for the students. Principal Stephanie Williams says the workers were able to determine the location of the hole early Monday (12/11/2017) afternoon.
"They finally were about to locate the hole, the break," says Williams. "It's about the size of a golf ball. They are now discussing the best way to repair it considering that we are headed into the winter months."
There is no word yet on how much the fix will cost, but school is expected to resume Tuesday (12/12/2017).
