ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Hundreds of people got out to the Allen County Fairgrounds for the West Ohio Food Bank's combined resource fair and food distribution.
More than 30 local agencies and organizations were on hand to get information on their services out to the public. People were able to stop at the booths that interested them. They then were able to drive through and pick up a trunk full of food at the West Ohio Food Bank's food distribution day. The day was important to all that participated.
"Cause I live on a monthly income and it helps out a lot. (So you come regularly?) "Yes, I go to West Ohio Food Bank for the senior boxes each month and they help out a lot," said Dayna Fisher, who says the distribution is important to her.
"We had bibles we were passing out. We were sharing our resources of the ministry house there on market street that we have available. Just trying to unify the body of Christ to love on Lima and just to bring us all together," commented Melva Stone, The Center of Kingdom Advancement.
The West Ohio Food Bank is always looking for volunteers. The Bath Local Schools "Girls Up" and yearbook staff were helping in the food distribution line.
