On October 16, 1977, Scott Young started working for the Christian radio station WTGN. At first, he made a two-year commitment, but he says God kept him here to serve the people in the area. Listeners have been hearing his voice and his positive message in the best and worst of times.

"A lot of it for me just goes back to the people," says Young. "And having someone say what you shared on the radio spoke to me one morning when I was driving to work or this changed my life or you were there you prayed with me at a really difficult time in my life."

Young says WTGN has been committed from day one to witnessing the good news and Young is glad to help spread that message.

"I love radio and everyday radio is new and exciting and vitreous in some ways and also share about my Lord, my Savior, Jesus Christ," adds Young. "Thank you Lima and this area for all of the people who have encouraged me, and loved me, and have listened. It has been my privilege."

WTGN is holding an open house at their station on October 17th from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the public to stop out and congratulate and wish Young well on his retirement. The station is located at 1600 Elida Road.
