May 28, 2024, Press Release from Ohio Department of Transportation District 1: LIMA, Ohio - (May 28, 2024) – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will implement a safety project at U.S. 30 and Defiance Trail, just east of the city of Delphos on Thursday, May 30. The project will remove the median limiting motorists to right turns onto and off the highway. The change will reduce the risk of severe crashes and fatalities. The decision to close the medians was made in coordination with local officials. On Thursday, barrels and barricades will be placed across the median of the intersection. Soon, ODOT crews will begin removing the pavement between the eastbound and westbound lanes of U.S. 30.
Here is this week's traffic update of construction projects from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1. ODOT District 1 proudly serves Allen, Defiance, Hancock, Hardin, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, and Wyandot counties.
