Liberty-Benton advances to regional final; Fort Jennings and Botkins seasons end in semifinals

WLIO — Three West Central Ohio boys soccer teams hit the pitch for regional semifinal play, with Liberty-Benton moving on while Fort Jennings and Botkins saw their seasons come to a close.
Fort Jennings traveled to Tiffin to face Ottawa Hills, falling 5-1 to end the season with an 11-6-4 record.
In Division 6, Liberty-Benton powered past Edison in Bowling Green, earning a 5-1 victory. Aiden Hatch and Jairo Colina each scored twice to lead the Eagles, who now advance to face Worthington Christian in the regional finals on Sunday at Marion Harding.
Meanwhile, in Division 5, Botkins took on defending state champion Summit Country Day at Monroe High School but came up short in a 4-0 loss. The Trojans finish their season at 16-3-2.
